CREMIT Coordinator
I am a Full Professor of Education at the Faculty of Science of Education at the Catholic University of Brescia (area M-PED 03). Currently, I teach “General Didactics” and “Media Education and Didactics.” Since 2006, I have been coordinating the CREMIT (Research Center for Media Education, Innovation, and Technology, www.cremit.it ) at the same university, and I am a member of the Board and of the Scientific Committee.
I engage in research, training, and consulting on the following topics: innovation in education and methods of educational prevention (I am responsible for the research area dedicated to these topics); evaluation and learning; methods and forms of distance learning; MOOCs.
I am a member of the scientific societies SIPED, SIREM, SIRD.
After obtaining my degree in Educational Sciences from the Catholic University of Milan in 1998, with a thesis on the integration of “New Technologies” in distance education, I gained experience at the U.O.C. (Universitat Oberta de Catalunia). I then completed further studies in “Media education: culture and profession for multimedia training” and received a scholarship to study abroad at the Université du Québec à Montréal. There, I focused on the Canadian distance education system and deepened my knowledge of applied evaluation methods. In 2005, I earned a Ph.D. in “Psychology of communication and linguistic processes” with a thesis titled “Psychopedagogical analysis of forums in online learning environments. Theoretical foundations and experimental verification of operational tools.”
My most recent researches include: Information Literacy (Yo-media and Check And Design); E-portfolio in teacher training; Physical Literacy in hospital schools; Evaluation in the ESL method; evaluation (FADING project).
